Acknowledging Cultural Sensitivity Toward Individuals
with Disabilities
Individuals with disabilities experience more risk factors for
substance abuse than the general population, however have
limited accessibility to treatment programs. Attitudinal
barriers, overview of the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA),
the use of “People First…” terminology will be covered.
