Dr. Carmen Inoa Vazquez

Director of Institute for Multicultural Behavioral Health at Bellevue Hospital, Clinical Professor in Psychiatry at New York University School of Medicine, Private Practice in New York City.  She also has a private practice in New York City where she provides psychotherapy and psychological evaluations.  Dr. Vazquez is a Board Certified clinical and forensic clinical psychologist. She has over 25 years of experience as a distinguished clinician, teacher, researcher, author, and program presenter.

Individuals with disabilities experience more risk factors for substance abuse than the general population, however have limited accessibility to treatment programs. Attitudinal barriers, overview of the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), the use of “People First…” terminology will be covered.
